The Optoma EP780 Delivers Bright Vivid Images for Office and Home Applications
LAS VEGAS (January 8, 2007) – Optoma, one of the leading manufacturers of digital projection and display devices, introduces the EP780 projector, designed for an exceptionally bright 4000 lumens with perfect image clarity and color reproduction. Native XGA, sleek, stylish and amazingly versatile, the EP780 delivers high performance picture quality for today's installations, with superb video quality for big screen home entertainment.
The Optoma EP780 features the latest Texas Instruments XGA DarkChip3™ DMD chipset to deliver vivid digital images, as well as 10-bit color per channel processing to give the EP780 higher lumens (4000 lumens) and deep colo r saturation (3000:1 contrast ratio). With color enhancement technologies and a five segment color wheel, the Optoma EP780 simultaneously enables high brightness and astonishing deep blacks with vivid, perfectly saturated color.
Optoma's EP780 includes extensive connectivity options, including DVI with HDCP, 2 x VGA (SCART and Component enabled) and video inputs. The EP780 has three audio inputs for individual PC and Video inputs for audio switching enabling the EP780 to function as an audio switcher and volume control, thereby eliminating complicated and costly additional audio hardware and cabling. The projector also features two integral 2-watt speakers, making the EP780 a true multimedia projector for office or home entertainment use.
The EP780 has a comprehensive RS232 command set and Network (IP) Control RJ45 for easy management in any installation environment. RS232 suits traditional AV installations while IP control means that the projector can be controlled and monitored from any web browser.
Additional short throw lens option enabling larger images from a shorter distance to accommodate a greater number of different installation environments. The projector also has a lower noise level that is usually associated with data projectors – The Optoma patent pending "wind tunnel" cooling system is designed for near-silent operation with minimal light leakage.
